A B2B writer is a professional writer who creates content targeting business customers and achieves content marketing goals. Content examples include case studies, white papers, blog posts, solution briefs, and email sequences. The content is tailored to address B2B buyers' specific needs, challenges, and interests.
Unlike B2C content writing, which targets a broad consumer audience, B2B content writing aims at establishing credibility, building relationships, and providing valuable information to influence business decisions. B2B marketers focus on the buyer journey rather than triggering an impulse buy.
It would be safe to say that while the success of a B2B writer can mostly be measured by whether the audience "buys" (i.e. believes and engages with) the information presented about the product (which in turns sells the product within a long sales cycle), the success of a B2C content writer can be measured by whether the audience buys the actual product (in a short sales cycle).
